BetterCampus App & BetterCampus for Teachers/Parents
I have two ideas for BetterCampus that could make it a lot better: BetterCampus App: Canvas currently has an app, but it is outdated, hard to use, and not very practical. BetterCampus could make a modern, versatile app that is easy to use/understand and provides more functionality. Additionally, they could make it available to iOS, Android, iPadOS, MacOS, and Windows to make accessing Canvas even easier for students (and parents/teachers, below). BetterCampus for Teachers and Parents: Despite Canvas now being fun, easy to use, and beautiful for students, it is still ugly, old, and impractical for teachers and parents. BetterCampus for teachers and parents could be less customizable/fun than BetterCampus for students, and place more emphasis on reliability and tools (like AI integration, better grading interfaces, etc.) that make it easier to teach and help.
Voice Typing
I would love to have a feature where I could use voice typing when responding in discussion forms or text entries. I’ve been using google docs for the voice typing tool and I would love to have a feature in app so I wouldn’t have to copy and paste all the time. I don’t know if this is something that can be added through better campus or not, but I figured it would be worth a shot.

Personal Customization
What if, we could make it so that we can personally customize our canvas. Im not talking about themes, Im talking about layout and orginization. If we want we can put our grades somewhere more obvious so that it would be the first thing you see, or you can make certain items bigger or smaller. please hear me out.
Music.
What if there was free music choices. I wanna listen to my own jams without opening and loading everything through spotify. If we could get free music, then it would be 2 extentions in one mostly.🙏 pleez.
Please bring back the weekly To-Do organization
I really liked the previous version of the To-Do list because it organized assignments by the school week (Monday–Sunday). Once Sunday ended, the list would move on to the next week. The new system is much less motivating because it seems to continuously show upcoming assignments based on the current date. This means assignments for the following week can remain visible alongside the assignments I am currently working on. It makes the To-Do list feel like I constantly have a large number of unfinished assignments, even when I have completed everything that is actually due that week. The previous Monday–Sunday system gave me a much better sense of progress. I could finish the assignments for the week, see that I had completed the week, and then start fresh with the next week's assignments. Would it be possible to bring back the Monday–Sunday weekly organization, or at least add an option in the settings to choose between the old weekly view and the new rolling/upcoming assignment view? I think having this as an option would be ideal because different students may prefer different ways of organizing their work. Thank you!
The BetterCampus screen becomes full Canvas
I really think there should be an option to have the new (and very well-designed, if I may add) BetterCampus screen—screenshot attached because I’m not very good at describing it—just be Canvas. We could incorporate the other features, like Courses, Inbox, and the Canvas Calendar, into it as well. I think this would make Canvas much easier to use and give it a much cleaner, better-looking interface overall.
Export notes
The notes feature is really convenient, especially since I can make study sets with it. Since BetterCampus is a Chrome extension, however, I can only access these materials when I am on my laptop. Therefore, what I’m currently doing is copying everything and pasting it into a Google Doc. I believe being able to export the notes would be handy so that I can open them on other devices (such as my iPad and phone) if I don’t have my laptop with me. Please let us export/download them :)
Discussion Replies
A feature that is a separate tab of some sort that has notifications of people replying to your specific discussion post/replies. That way, you don’t have to scroll through all the replies to respond to someone who replied to you, and you can just reply directly from the notification.

Task missing?
the extension has started showing “task missing” notifications for assignments that are not even due yet? wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if its a bug?
Grades page secondary text nearly invisible with custom theme
On the native Canvas Grades page, the secondary text underneath assignment names (for example, “Module 0: Assignments” and “Module 0: Study Plan”) becomes extremely light blue when BetterCampus is enabled. I tested changing the theme's Body, Links, Foreground, Header and Sidebar Text colors, but none of those settings affect this text. I also manually updated BetterCampus, refreshed Canvas, and logged out and back in with no change. When I disable the BetterCampus Chrome extension and refresh the same Grades page, the text immediately returns to Canvas's normal dark gray and is completely readable. Turning BetterCampus back on causes the problem again. It appears that BetterCampus is applying a theme color/style to Canvas's secondary assignment text that isn't exposed in the theme color controls.

I cant sign back in after I signed up (Maybe bc I didn't complete the survey fully). whenever I try to get back in it will just give me a blurred screen. Pls fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a very bad glitch for people who have pro edition bc they'll lose all their features. I think it is bc https://api.bettercampus.com/users/sync/pull throws an error when it tries to get data.
Background
I would like to see an option where the background is a solid color or gradient separate from the dashboard image color or picture. This was prompted by me having a legible dashboard with a background image, but in the courses the background causes some readability issues.
It does not work
I install the extension and it works for the first time bu after a refreash or reopn it just compleatly wipes its self and is no longer better
Where did the circle task tracker go???
I changed my browser from chrome to firefox after not using canvas for a summer, the entire UI changed but not the to-do list is just a list rather than the circle progress bar it used to have just one semester ago. Where did it go? Why can’t I use it anymore?
Additional Grading Systems
My school uses a General, Honors, and AP grading system in our GPA but Better Campus only lets me edit two systems, a Unweighted and Weighted system. Add the ability to add more systems if you need them.
